The Telomeres and Telomerase Group, within the Molecular Oncology Programme, is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Assistant.
Se Requiere
- PhD in Biological Sciences.
- Accreditation to perform experimental procedure with animal models. Category B/C certificate for animal experimentation.
- A minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience.
- Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques (e.g. qPCR, Western blot).
- Extensive hands-on experience in cell culture techniques.
- Background in gene therapy, telomere biology and cancer and aging research.
- Proven track record of achievements demonstrated through publications (at least 3 first author publications).
- Experience in techniques for telomere analysis including, qFISH, TRF, TRAP and TERRA analysis. Telomere dysfunction (i.e. TIFs and MTS) Reprogramming of MEFs to iPS, and iPS culture. Experience with High-throughput screening and Knowledge of Microsoft Office Access and Definiens software.
- Highly desirable: cells and tissue Immunofluorescence, Confocal Microscopy and OPERA High Content Screening system expertise.
- Proficiency in English.
