The Text Mining Unit of the CNIO/MINETUR (TeMUC) is funded through the Plan de Impulso de las Tecnologías del Lenguaje de la Agenda Digital, by the Secretary of State of Telecommunications and the Information. It is the first publicly funded text mining unit in Spain and has the aim to promote the development of natural language processing and machine translation resources for Spanish and other co-official languages in the area of biomedicine. We search for a junior technical researcher in bioinformatics, medical informatics, natural language processing, computational linguistics or language engineering with experience in the development of biomedical software tools.
We search for a junior technical researcher in bioinformatics, medical informatics, natural language processing, computational linguistics or language engineering with experience in the development of biomedical software tools, who will be responsible of the integration of data and the implementation of search tools into the platform for natural language processing designed by the unit.
Se Requiere
• Higher university degree in computer science, bioinformatics, telecommunications or equivalent.
• Working experience in the implementation and/or usage of workflow management systems.
• Experience in the development or management of biomedical software resources.
• Development and integration of software tools.
• Experience with software tools such as Galaxy, GATE, UIMA.
• Publication record in NLP/computational linguistics/medical informatics will be a plus.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
