We are looking for a qualified candidate to join the lab as lab manager and senior research technician.
The laboratory is focused on understanding the biology of cancer cells that metastasize in the brain and we use in vitro, ex vivo (organotypic cultures) and in vivo (mouse models) approaches to study this process. The specific project in which the candidate will work is focused on Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) with the main goal of finding brain metastasis biomarkers using genomics and subsequent functional validation in experimental models available in the lab and in human samples that will be obtained through our established clinical collaborations.
Se Requiere
- PhD in any discipline related to biomedicine.
- Previous experience (3-5 years) at similar positions that included mice work and molecular biology techniques.
- At least one scientific publication in the last 5 years and stays abroad at other research institutions.
- Excellent organization skills. Mouse work (injection, sample collection, ...). Previous experience with genetically engineered mouse models will be positively evaluated. Molecular biology techniques (WB, qRT-PCR, immunofluorescence, fluorescence and confocal imaging, cloning, shRNA, CRISPR/Cas9, genotyping...). Cell and tissue culture (cancer cells, brain cells, organotypic cultures,... ). Image acquisition (Fluorescence and confocal microscopy). Data analysis (Excel, ImageJ, SPSS, PRISM).
- Knowledge of English is mandatory.
